Creating functional indexes

Description

Consider the following changeset:
"createIndex": {
"indexName": "user_lower_email_idx",
"tableName": "user",
"schemaName": "public",
"columns": [
"column": {
"name": "lower(email)",
"type": "text"
}
]
}

In v3.2.2, this would generated the following SQL: CREATE INDEX user_lower_email_idx ON public.user(lower(email)).

v3.3.0 creates the following: CREATE INDEX user_lower_email_idx ON public.user("lower(email)") which leads Postgres to throw an exception, since the column named lower(email) doesn't exist.

Is there a new way to create functional indexes via Liquibase? Will this functionality be returned?

Thanks
